”You can’t tell me what to do”
Stubbornness is a trait often seen as a negative, an unwillingness to do or accept something, but I’ve found that it serves a purpose in many creative processes.
Creating art during the pandemic ment I had limited access to workshops, materials or machines and there was a lot of things I wanted to, but ”couldn’t”, or was told that I couldn’t do without specific tools.
I took the time to experiment with print techniques and figure out how to recreate them inside my tiny apartment, and I made this screenprint as a statement about my willingness (or stubbornness) paying off.
